Meet the Founder and CEO
Andrea Darden, MSN, RN, CCRN
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Marie Rose Nursing Co. was founded from a passion for developing confident nurses, strengthening healthcare teams, and advancing the future of patient care. Andrea Darden created the organization to bridge the gap between nursing education, clinical practice, healthcare quality, and organizational excellence by providing strategic solutions that empower both healthcare professionals and the organizations they serve.
As a registered nurse, educator, healthcare executive, and quality and risk leader, Andrea brings more than 12 years of experience spanning critical care, nursing education, leadership development, quality improvement, patient safety, risk management, regulatory compliance, healthcare operations, and clinical documentation. Her career has been guided by one purpose: helping healthcare professionals and organizations deliver safer, higher-quality care through education, operational excellence, and strategic improvement.
Andrea earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Prairie View A&M University College of Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing Education from Texas Tech University. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), further strengthening her expertise in healthcare leadership, evidence-based practice, and systems improvement.
Throughout her career, Andrea has served in progressive leadership positions across both nationally recognized healthcare systems and independent healthcare organizations. Her experience includes roles as a bedside critical care nurse, nursing professional development specialist, clinical educator, adjunct nursing faculty member, director of multiple nursing service lines, Chief Nursing Officer, and Director of Quality and Risk. These diverse leadership experiences have provided her with a comprehensive understanding of the clinical, operational, financial, regulatory, and legal considerations that influence patient care and healthcare performance.
Education has remained a cornerstone of Andrea's career. She has developed nurse residency and onboarding programs, designed evidence-based educational curricula, implemented competency-based training, facilitated simulation experiences, and mentored nursing students, new graduate nurses, and experienced clinicians throughout their professional journeys. As an adjunct nursing faculty member, she has prepared future nurses through classroom instruction, clinical education, and simulation-based learning while maintaining a strong commitment to closing the gap between academia and bedside practice.
Andrea has also played a significant role in nursing recruitment, workforce development, and leadership coaching. Having conducted hundreds of interviews for nursing positions across multiple specialties and leadership levels, she understands what healthcare organizations seek in exceptional nursing professionals. This experience allows her to coach aspiring nurses through resume development, interview preparation, and career advancement while helping organizations strengthen recruitment, retention, and workforce readiness.
In addition to nursing education and leadership development, Andrea has extensive experience leading quality improvement initiatives, patient safety programs, accreditation readiness, regulatory compliance, performance improvement, risk management, and clinical documentation improvement. She has successfully led multidisciplinary teams through process improvement initiatives, Root Cause Analyses (RCAs), policy development, regulatory surveys, and organizational readiness efforts designed to improve patient outcomes while reducing organizational risk.
Andrea also provides comprehensive medical record reviews and clinical case analysis for healthcare organizations, attorneys, insurance professionals, and other healthcare stakeholders. Drawing upon her expertise in quality, patient safety, regulatory standards, clinical operations, and documentation review, she conducts objective evaluations of healthcare records to identify documentation gaps, deviations from standards of care, patient safety concerns, regulatory compliance issues, and opportunities for quality improvement. Her evidence-based approach helps clients navigate complex clinical records with clarity while supporting informed decision-making.
Beyond healthcare operations, Andrea is a passionate educator, consultant, and national speaker who has presented at regional and national nursing conferences on topics including nursing education, transition to practice, behavioral health, patient safety, quality improvement, leadership development, and healthcare workforce excellence. She is committed to transforming complex healthcare challenges into practical, sustainable solutions that strengthen organizations while empowering healthcare professionals.
Through Marie Rose Nursing Co., Andrea combines her experience as a clinician, educator, executive leader, quality professional, and consultant to support nurses, healthcare organizations, academic institutions, legal professionals, and healthcare partners through education, mentorship, workforce development, healthcare consulting, and medical record review services. Whether preparing a nursing student for their first interview, strengthening a hospital's nursing workforce, conducting a clinical practice evaluation, or providing an objective review of medical records, Andrea is committed to delivering solutions that improve outcomes and create lasting impact.
Her vision is to build a healthcare system where nurses enter practice prepared, healthcare organizations operate with excellence, patient safety remains at the forefront of every decision, and clinical expertise is leveraged to improve quality, reduce risk, and support informed healthcare decisions.
Because when healthcare professionals are prepared, organizations are strengthened, and quality remains the standard, patients, providers, and communities all benefit.
